Camel Honda team ready to race at Catalunya

Less than a week after the captivating Italian Grand Prix, MotoGP prepares
itself straight away for yet another exciting event at a spectacular circuit
loved by riders, and where another massive crowd is expected. This is backed up
by the fact that the majority of tickets have already been sold for the race.
For the Camel Honda team, whose technical headquarters is just a few miles from
the track, the Catalonia Grand Prix is very important and after the positive
results gleaned there in March's IRTA Test, there is great confidence in the
chance to take another top result.

Sito Pons - Camel Honda

The Barcelona Grand Prix is a massively important race for us, we obviously know
the track really well, we like it, our team's technical base is not far away and
we have lots of fans up there. It is our Grand Prix. I think that after the race
Alex had in Italy he has regained the confidence he needs to go well. We just
need to improve our practice performances, and we need to qualify in the top
five positions. If that's the case, then Alex will do the race he is capable of,
and will get a great result. I'm sure that Troy will also manage to make an
important step forward."

Alex Barros #4:

"Barcelona is a track that I have always gone quick on, and I have also had a
bit of bad luck too. In two races I was at the front when I crashed or the bike
broke down. However, the tests we did there in March went well and I like the
track a lot because it's dramatic, technical, fast, the asphalt is new... I've
spent so much time in the area that I feel practically at home, and I think that
we have a great chance to go well. I need to do better in qualifying, even the
second row would do! It will be one of my main objectives, because as regards
the set-up for the race, we always manage to prepare ourselves well."

Troy Bayliss #12:

"First of all the Catalan GP is a very important race for my team, so obviously
I want to feature well there. So I can't wait to get there to work on the bike's
set-up. I know the track well, but more than anything I've already ridden my
Honda there during the pre-season IRTA tests. So I have various points of
reference to make a base set-up which we will then work to perfect for the race.
The crowd will welcome us warmly, as always on these big occasions, but I am
also hoping for higher temperatures in the air, which could be an important
factor to consider in comparison to March's test. I think I'm ready to face this
important appointment in the championship."
